35. ‘Miami Vice’

The theme for 'Miami Vice' is a straight-up slice of 80s new wave and nostalgia. 'Miami Vice' was influenced by that particular brand of music and culture, putting a modern spin on a traditional police procedural with the help of Don Johnson and those iconic sports jacket and colorful t-shirt combos. The show was on from 1984 to 1989, eventually making its way to the big screen with original producer Michael Mann's grittier version in 2006.
