Summit Entertainment understands how to tease ‘Twilight’ fans.

First, there was a 13-second clip for the upcoming ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2.’ Then, as promised, the studio dropped a longer tease … which basically used footage from the initial 13-second video. And when I say longer, I really mean that the new teaser runs a scant 49 seconds, and hardly shows us much. Judge for yourself:

Granted, Summit doesn’t have to do anything to promote the second ‘Breaking Dawn,’ which finally concludes Stephenie Meyer’s soapy vampire-and-werewolf saga after multiple years (and billions of dollars at the worldwide box office). They could drop it into theaters next week, sans marketing, and give ‘The Hunger Games’ a run for its money. Literally.

Of course, ‘Twilight’ fans who don’t give a damn about Katniss Everdeen will be thrilled to see a newly-converted vampire Bella (Kristen Stewart) on the hunt as she enjoys being the same body temperature as her true love, Edward (Robert Pattinson). I guess that’s a sexy pick-up line? Not a lot of living dudes could pull it off.

So, Bill Condon’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ conclusion reaches theaters on Nov. 16. If this recent pattern has taught us anything, Summit likely will release a 74-second trailer, followed by a 90-second tease, followed by a “hefty” two-minute clip before we get the full trailer in August.
