One of Ubisoft's websites was exploited and data from their account database has been compromised. We're willing to bet that this wasn't the work of Aiden Pearce though.

According to some emails that were sent out, as well as Ubisoft's support site, information such as usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords has been compromised.

The company advises that anyone with an Ubisoft account secure their accounts by changing their passwords. They also recommend that if you use the same password, or a similar password, on other sites, that you go and change that too.

Not all may be lost though, as they assert that "no personal payment information is stored with Ubisoft," so you can rest assured that your credit/debit card information is safe.

If you would like more information on this intrusion, check out the small FAQ at the bottom of this page on the Ubisoft support site.
