Well, we can officially add 'Unforgettable' to the ranks of the un-cancelled!  In spite of being rejected for a season 2 pickup back in May, CBS has officially decided to follow through on its recent talks by picking up the eidetic memory procedural for a second run.  Still, how many episodes will season 2 of 'Unforgettable' last, and where can fans expect to find them?

In spite of drawing 11 million total viewers and a 2.0 demo rating with its season 1 finale, 'Unforgettable' failed to earn a season 2 pickup among the 19 other orders CBS made in the May 2012 Upfronts.  Initially thought to be cancelled, now Deadline reports the 'Unforgettable' has made good on the recent rumors, and will return summer 2013 with a 13-episode order.

For those unfamiliar with the series, ‘Unforgettable’ followed Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), a New York detective with an impressive eidetic memory that allows her to remember everything, who works for a team led by her ex-partner and boyfriend, Lt. Al Burns (‘Nip/Tuck’s Dylan Walsh).  In its initial run, the series averaged 12.1 million viewers and a 2.5/7 among adults 18-49.

CBS' move to air 'Unforgettable' season 2 in the summer resembles its success with another crime procedural, Canadian import 'Flashpoint,' which started in the network in the summer.  Usually, the network sticks with reality shows and reruns for the off-season.

What say you?  Are you be happy to have ‘Unforgettable’ back, or was the series best left fading from memory?  Sound off in the comments below!
