As much as we've enjoyed the second season run of HBO's 'Girls' thus far and eagerly await the coming of 'Game of Thrones' season 3 on March 31, one jewel has been missing of late from the pay-cable network's crown: 'Veep' season 2! At long last, the network has set a premiere date for the second season of 'Veep' Selina Meyer, debuting on Sunday April 14 behind new episodes of 'Game of Thrones.' Get the latest on 'Veep' season 2 inside, by Vice Presidential mandate!

HBO's Emmy-winning comedy 'Veep' may have been absent from the first-quarter 2013 schedule despite the presence of its bosom-buddy 'Girls,' but Selina Meyer has officially set her season 2 return. HBO announced today that 'Veep' will premiere its second season on April 14 immediately following new episodes of 'Game of Thrones' season 3, which premieres two weeks prior on March 31.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus previously teased of the Emmy-winning comedy’s second season that “we have a lot of international storylines,” while the second season of the HBO comedy will feature guest turns from Gary Cole as Karl Rove-type figure “Kent,” along with former ‘Luck’ star Kevin Dunn as the President’s chief of staff Ben.
