POLL: Should ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Introduce Venom?

There's been a lot of Venom talk these last couple of days. We recently saw a cool short film focusing on the 'Spider-Man' villain, there was an update a few months ago on his rumored solo film, and just yesterday 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' screenwriters were giving props aplenty to the toothy character. Does all this Venom love mean we might be seeing him in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3'? If so, would that be a good thing?

Venom is certainly one of the more controversial characters in 'Spider-Man' lore, especially since he popped up in such a remarkably terrible way in Sam Raimi's 'Spider-Man 3.' But don't blame him for that appearance; most of us know that Sony forced Raimi's hand in adding the Symbiote to the sequel.

However, audiences may still be wary of Venom thanks to how poorly handled and unsatisfying his last big-screen appearance was. Add to that the assumption Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) is likely to be the primary villain in part three and we once again might be seeing Venom reduced to a frivolous presence. And why waste a character with such interesting potential?
