The CW’s Vixen may make the leap to live-action by her upcoming Arrow appearance, though it seems the character may go back and forth. Not only has the animated CW Seed series been renewed for Season 2, but network heads also comment on the possibility of another live-action spinoff, or potential Legends of Tomorrow appearances.

CW boss Mark Pedowitz confirmed the renewal from the Television Critics Association press tour, adding that the new season would feature six or seven mini-episodes (compared with the first season’s six), together forming approximately a half-hour. Unlike the first season however, The CW will eventually edit the episodes together for a half-hour special.

In addition to Vixen voice Megalyn Echikunwoke taking the character live-action for an Arrow appearance, Pedowitz also spoke to the possibility of seeing Echikunwoke making the DC hero a permanent presence “Hopefully that character is going to spin itself out, if not, it can join Legends,” says Pedowitz, though worth noting is Echikunwoke’s own commitment to A&E’s Damien TV series.

We’ll likely soon see further details of Vixen in live-action, but what can we expect from the second animated season?
