Regardless of where or when Westworld takes place, the titular park presumably represents one of several options to cater toward people’s fantasies. One might even imagine a Game of Thrones World proving a big hit, something creator George R.R. Martin even floated by Westworld bosses.

Entertainment Weekly explains that Martin apparently mentioned the idea of a Game of Thrones-themed park branch to showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy over dinner several months ago. The original 1973 film included both “Medieval” and “Roman World,” only a few steps removed from Westeros, but would showrunners actually consider it?

Nolan: We love George and our daughter’s first trip anywhere in the world was out to Santa Fe for a screening of The Prestige at his theater, the Jean Cocteau. He’s a lovely guy and a stunning writer and it’s flattering he would encourage a crossover. We should be so lucky.

Joy: I need to be believe that dragons are real. I want them be a real thing. So as much as I love George, I can’t lose that for myself!

Naturally, HBO would never in a million years attempt such a shameless tie-in, let alone attempt to clear any legal hurdles that would allow them to do so. Still, if ever the premium cable outlet wants to break the internet with one of those crossover promos, we’re sure Jason Momoa would be happy to oblige.

In the meantime, Westworld will continue this coming Sunday, while Game of Thrones returns in summer 2017.
