It may be a bit early to make such bold claims as this, seeing as 2014 hasn’t even ended yet, but ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ may very well be the funniest film of 2015. The vampire mockumentary created by ‘Flight of the Conchords’’ Jemaine Clement and his collaborator Taika Waititi has been totally killing it (no pun intended) on the festival circuit all year, earning high praise from the critic community. And now you can have a little taste of what will likely be one of your favorite films next year with this new trailer.

Clement developed and stars in the film alongside director Taika Waititi (who also co-wrote Disney's upcoming ‘Moana’), Jonathan Brugh, and Ben Fransham as a group of vampire pals who share a flat and bicker about all the usual things normal human roommates bicker about, like doing chores and having guests over. The friends grant a fictional documentary filmmaking crew access to their lives as they prepare for the Unholy Masquerade, a secret gathering that takes place only once every few years in New Zealand.

‘What We Do in the Shadows’ is a hilarious mockumentary, similar in tone to the work of the great Christopher Guest—think ‘This Is Spinal Tap,’ but with vampires. And while you won’t see Clement’s ‘Flight of the Conchords’ partner Bret McKenzie in the film, you’ll be thrilled to see another one of their co-stars in the above trailer.

And if that’s not enough for you, last month we posted the first six minutes of the film, which should hold you over until ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ hits theaters on February 27.
