Since breaking out with their 2014 hit comedy Neighbors, writers Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien have been understandably busy. Up next is their new comedy, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, which reunites them with Neighbors star Zac Efron. In addition to that film, the pair are also working on The House, which plays in the same rowdy suburban territory as Neighbors, and has attracted the interest of comedy king Will Ferrell.

THR reports that Ferrell will headline The House, which centers on a couple who lose their daughter’s college fund and decide to start an illegal casino in their basement with the help of some neighbors. Ferrell will play the husband in the new film, which marks the directorial debut of Neighbors co-writer Andrew J. Cohen. The House also sounds like it appeals to Ferrell’s sensibilities as it may have some comedic elements in common with Old School.

Cohen and O’Brien’s next film, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, recently cast Workaholics and Pitch Perfect star Adam Devine alongside Efron. In addition, the writing duo will co-direct the upcoming horror comedy Thrill Ride, about a group of high school teens who go to an amusement park, where they’re killed off one by one by a victim of their bullying. Last we heard, Cohen and O’Brien will direct from a script by Peter Warren.

As for Ferrell, you can see him next alongside Kevin Hart in Get Hard, which hits theaters on March 27.
