Bethesda and Machine Games have revealed the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order will also arrive on next generation consoles.

The latest game in the Wolfenstein lineage was already announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but during E3, Bethesda divulged the title would also find its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Taking place during the 1960s, Wolfenstein: The New Order gives a glimpse at the world we'd live in had the Nazis won the second World War.

Wolfenstein hasn't been a large part of the first-person shooter genre it helped for quite some time, but Machine Games is certainly aiming to rectify that judging by the footage and screenshots we've seen of The New Order. Interestingly enough, much of the game so far has been shown almost exclusively in widescreen, but there's no telling if the final game will play that way, or Machine Games just has a flair for the cinematic.

We've got some new screenshots to share, which show off the Nazi menace as it has evolved since the '40s. Check them out, and let us know if you're ready to join up with Wolfenstein: The New Order.
