Daniel Radcliffe’s horror vehicle ‘The Woman in Black’ didn’t lend itself to a natural sequel for spoiler-ish reasons that we can't get into here. But when the January thriller banked $127 million in worldwide grosses, a continuation of the chilling story seemed like a good idea to CBS Films and Hammer Productions.

Radcliffe won't return for the sequel, but the real star of ‘Black’ was the haunted Eel Marsh mansion, and it will be the focal point of the new movie, according to an official plot summary obtained by ShockTillYouDrop. It also sounds like there will be a female protagonist taking on the angry lady of the title. Here’s what the site has to say:

Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.

Shock says that Jon Crocker, a script editor on the original ‘Black,’ has tackled screenwriting duties on this next chapter. A director still has to be hired, and once they’re in place, casting can begin.

If the balls can get rolling, is it possible we’ll have a second ‘Black’ story in theaters by next October, when horror movies tend to clean up at the box office?
