Disney Animation and Activision have teamed up to bring Disney's upcoming video game movie 'Wreck-It Ralph' to life on your video game system, which means that this fall you'll be doing more than watching the adventures of 'Wreck-It Ralph,' you'll be playing them as well.

The 'Wreck-It Ralph' video game will be an old school style side-scroller, something you don't see much of in today's gaming world unless it involves Mario saving Princess Peach. The game will actually take place after the events of 'Wreck-It Ralph,' which is great because fans of the movie will be able to continue on with the story.

And in case you don't know what that story is, here's the official synopsis, courtesy of Coming Soon: From the mind of Director Rich Moore ("The Simpsons," "Futurama"), the film chronicles the journey of Ralph, the bad guy in an arcade game who sets out to prove he can be the hero after all. However, Ralph mistakenly reverts to his clumsy nature and "wrecks" everything once again, unleashing a deadly enemy threat onto his video game neighbors. The movie features a voice cast that includes John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.

David Oxford, Executive Vice President of Activision Publishing, had this to say about the upcoming game:

Wreck-It Ralph, as a brand entity, is perfectly suited for video game stardom. With the fantastic characters and creative atmosphere envisioned by Walt Disney Animation Studios, we know fans are going to love seeing their newfound favorite characters embark on an all-new side scrolling adventure.

In the video game, you get to play as Wreck-It Ralph, as he tries to save the video game worlds from an invasion by the deadly Cy-Bugs. But you'll also be playing as Fix-It Felix, Ralph's nemesis who always manages to repair the damage Ralph has caused. 'Wreck-It Ralph' the video game will be available for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS.

The Nintendo Wii version will feature a story mode and two-player co-op, where you can switch between both Wreck-It Ralph and Fix-It Felix to solve numerous puzzles. The game will released this fall around the same time as the November 2nd release of 'Wreck-It Ralph' in theaters.
