Another day, another X-Men: Apocalypse reveal courtesy of director Bryan Singer’s Instagram page! This time, he’s given us our first clear look at Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey and Lana Condor’s Jubilee, both of them looking delightful in their circa-1983 outfits. In all seriousness, who needs superhero uniforms when you have ‘80s fashion?

This slightly more official look at the set of the new (and possibly final) X-Men movie comes after a wave of blurry paparazzi shots first showcased the young future superheroes on a trip to the mall. Not pictured in Singer’s post is Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler, who was spotted wearing Michael Jackson’s iconic red leather get-up from the Thriller music video. That’s certainly one way to distract people from your blue skin and tail...

Both X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past found fun ways to embrace their period settings, using the fashions and politics of the ‘60s and ‘70s to their advantage. X-Men: Apocalypse looks to continue that trend by dressing its characters in amazing/awful clothing. Is it too much to hope for an entirely synth soundtrack?

X-Men: Apocalypse will moonwalk into theaters on May 27, 2016.
