Earlier today, we learned about a surprise X-Men: New Mutants spinoff to be written and directed by Josh Boone (so The Stand probably isn’t happening anymore, right?), but before we get that far, we still have X-Men: Apocalypse, the final chapter in Bryan Singer’s X-Men saga. Today, the director has teased a mysterious new photo from the set of the film with a rather cautionary caption.

Singer posted the photo over on his Instagram, where’s been fairly active with photo updates for fans — bless him.

This is a rather enigmatic image, but going off the uniforms and the lack of metal weapons in the photo, it looks like these guys could very well be going after Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. Then again, why do they have that kid? They could actually be going after anyone, I guess.

X-Men: Apocalypse will focus more on the First Class cast as the ensemble jumps ahead into the ‘80s, with Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult set to return, along with First Class star Rose Byrne reprising her role as Moira MacTaggert. Evan Peters will return as Quicksilver, alongside newcomers Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
