'X-Men: Days of Future Past' was already gaining buzz for bringing back seemingly every major actor from the five films in the ever-popular franchise, but the roster keeps on growing with faces new to the series. Today, it was revealed that Omar Sy, a French actor best known for his role in 'The Intouchables,' has joined the cast.

As usual, the news came directly from director Bryan Singer's Twitter feed, bypassing all of the traditional channels and sending bloggers scrambling to their keyboards. Here's the tweet:

And now the speculation begins! Unlike returning actors like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, we have no clue and no idea who Sy could be playing and what role he'll have in the story overall. When 'Game of Thrones' star Peter Dinklage was added to the roster, we quickly learned that he would be playing some kind of villain, but not so here. At least not yet.

So put on your thinking hats, X-Men fans! Who could Sy be playing? Hero? Villain? Mutant? Human? Which role do you think he'd be cut out for?

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is set to open on July 18th, 2014.
