There are three major superhero movies arriving in theaters in the next two months and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' somehow feels like the riskiest endeavor. By bringing back director Bryan Singer and merging the original cast and the 'X-Men: First Class' cast via time travel, it's undoubtedly the biggest X-Men movie to date. It could be good or it could be bad, but as these six new featurettes show us, it was certainly an adventure to make.

Focusing on everything from casting to set design to cracking the story, these videos give us a cool behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process as well as a glimpse of a bunch of new footage. Our favorite bit comes in the video at the top, where Hugh Jackman's Wolverine promises Nicholas Hoult's young Beast that they will someday be friends before punching him in the face.

More eyes seem to be on 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' than 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' mainly because we still don't know what to make of this thing. It's ambitious and everyone is saying the right things, but the trailers haven't quite grabbed us as much as some of this summer's other blockbusters. However, the glimpses of the film we see here are promising. If Singer can recapture of the magic of 'X2,' all will be good.

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' will open on May 23, 2014. Check out the rest of the featurettes below!
