If you want to head down to your local GameStop and pre-order an Xbox One because of yesterday's news, then you'll be surprised to learn that they're no longer taking pre-orders on the console.

According to Polygon, many GameStop stores have reached the cap for Xbox One launch edition pre-orders, though the website is still accepting them. A GameStop Store Manager in California told Polygon that they were only allocated 16 Xbox Ones, but received 60 PlayStation 4 allocations.

GameStop started accepting pre-orders for Microsoft's upcoming console with a $100 deposit with a limit of one console per household. "Due to high demand, GameStop is not taking additional store reservations for the Xbox One Day One Edition," a GameStop representative told the site in a statment. "However, reservations can still be made at www.gamestop.com ... In the meantime, the Xbox One wireless controller and top Xbox One games like: Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5, and Kinect Sports Rivals are available for pre-order at all GameStop stores or online."

As of this writing, GameStop is still accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on their website. Retailers like Amazon are also currently accepting pre-orders, with Launch Editions of Xbox One still available.

Let us know what you think, and whether or not you've locked in your reservation.
