Worried about all of your hard work over the past few years disappearing once you make the move to Xbox One's Xbox Live service? Don't go kissing your Gamerscore goodbye just yet, since you'll be able to take it all with you.

Existing Live accounts will transfer over to the new service, thanks to its cloud capabilities, giving players access to all of their games, music, movies, and saves. You don't have to worry about losing your achievement progress and your beefy Gamerscore disappearing, folks. Achievements will also get a boost, thanks to the cloud.

According to Game Informer, Xbox Live's principal group program manager Chad Gibson said, "We really want to enable our achievement system to fully embrace cloud power, which is why in this generation we’ve got cloud achievements."

This means that players can go beyond the 1,000 Gamerscore limit for achievements thanks to updates from the cloud. Some of these achievements can also include parameters met over a player's long gaming career across the span of many different games in the same series.

Let us know if you're excited to move your Xbox Live profile over to a new home on Xbox One's Live service.
