Even though NBC has yet to set an official premiere date for its forthcoming 'Red Dragon' TV prequel 'Hannibal,' the Bryan Fuller-helmed series remains one of the more anticipated offerings of 2013. The 10-episode series today continues adding to its all-star genre cast, serving up 'Aliens' and 'Millenium' star Lance Henriksen for a one-episode guest stint. Find out the latest details on NBC's 'Hannibal' and what Lance Henriksen has to do with it inside!

Don't let NBC's refusal to set a premiere date for 'Hannibal' get you down, as the Bryan Fuller series has added yet another big-name genre guest star into its mix. TVLine reports that sci-fi vet Lance Henriksen will make a one-episode appearance on the series, which hopefully premieres before May. Unlike most of its other castings, however, NBC refused to offer any details of Henriksen's top-secret role on the series.

In addition to the recent casting of ‘The X-Files’ star Gillian Anderson, Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford and wife Gina Torres playing Crawford’s wife, Bryan Fuller’s ‘Hannibal’ features 'Veep' star Anna Chlumsky, comedian Eddie Izzard, ‘SNL‘ alum Molly Shannon, ‘Pushing Daisies’ vet Ellen Greene, ‘Wonderfalls’ stars Chelan Simmons, Lara Jean Chorostecki as a female interpretation of ‘Red Dragon’ character Freddy Lounds and Raul Esparza as Dr. Frederick Chilton.

Set in the early days of Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen)’s partnership, Fuller’s envisioned series is said to be “a love story” told across at least seven seasons. At the Television Critics Association press tour, NBC president Robert Greenblatt said the series "could fit really nicely" with the network's summer lineup.

What say you? Are you even more excited for 'Hannibal' with the casting of Lance Henriksen? Who might the former 'Millenium' star play? Give us your predictions in the comments!
