Disney’s Bob the Musical has been in development for over 10 years now, with The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius recently coming aboard to reinvigorate the project, while Tom Cruise remains interested in starring. A little more progress has been made on Bob the Musical today, as Flight of the Conchords member Bret McKenzie has been hired to compose the Musical element of the title, and Michael Chabon has been tapped to rewrite the screenplay.

Winning an Oscar for Best Director generally means that Hollywood is going to throw their hottest projects at you. For 'The Artist's Michel Hazanavicius, that means that Tom Hanks and his production company are talking to him about helming 'In the Garden of Beasts.'
