‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Series: What Went Wrong?
A beloved superhero. A promising young director. A perfect pair of romantic leads. A dream supporting cast. What could possibly go wrong?
The Worst Superhero Movie Villains of All-Time
A great movie villain can elevate the hero and his journey. A great villain is the key to conflict, and conflict fuels an effective story, and an effective story is what allows a movie to linger on long after a movie has finished screening. This is all especially true in the realm of the superhero movie, where characters who can do impossible things need a bad guy who can realistically threaten them. All of the truly great superhero movies have a villain who balances the heroes, a sinister force who gives them something to fight. This list is not about those guys. It’s about the other guys. The ones that suck.
‘Amazing Spider-Man' Composer Admits Sequel Was “Terrible”
‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ was not a good movie. This is not news. Venom Goes Dark
Despite being one half of the duo that wrote the fairly awful 'Amazing Spider-Man 2,' Alex Kurtzman has been handed the reins of the upcoming 'Venom' movie, which will be the first time he's ever directed a project of this size (his directorial debut was the Chris Pine drama 'Please Like Us'). So yeah, it's okay if you're feeling a little wary about this one. Venom is a controversial character among comic book fans, but no one wants to see another bad Spider-Man universe movie in the wake of the most recent disaster.
