Just when we thought that the TV-movie reboot trend had given way to straight-up resuscitating old series, in swoops Galaxy Quest for a bit of meta fun. The 1999 Tim Allen sci-fi comedy has officially been targeted for a TV adaptation from Paramount, bringing the crew of the NSEA Protector out of mothballs once again.

Kate Winslet is basically the queen of period drama. When you think period drama, you think Kate Winslet in fussy, suffocating clothing. So it’s no surprise that Winslet has once again returned to the genre that first introduced her to mainstream audiences—this time for Alan Rickman (yes, that Alan Rickman), who directed and co-stars with Winslet in ‘A Little Chaos.’ The first trailer for the upcoming film has arrived, in which our reigning queen of period drama gets a lot of side-eye from some upper-class French people at Versailles.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' is going to be a big movie that takes Marvel further into outer space concepts, so they need a performer to anchor the film. A human who serves as the bridge between its alien and human worlds. And that bridge may be John C. Reilly.

Frankly, we're tired of all the six-second clips and teasers that tease the actual 'Gambit' trailer. Sure, we got a look at Colin Firth and Alan Rickman in the official movie posters, but what of Cameron Diaz and her rodeo cowgirl character with an accent comparable to little Ms. Honey Boo Boo Child?

It may be a while before we see 'Gambit,' the Joel and Ethan Coen-scripted remake of the 1966 caper starring Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz, but we've got a few seconds of footage and two posters to show you that should -- maybe, probably -- hold you over until then.

Malin Akerman has yet to have her truly big moment. Sure, she's been in her fair share of major movies ('Watchmen' and 'The Proposal' for starters), but she's yet to snag a role that would send her flying to the A-list. However, there's one big way to get yourself fast attention in the acting world if you pull it off, and that's to play a real person. Double points if that real person could sing.
