Oh you, reign of TV reboots, long may you ride. Following the likes of Limitless and Rush Hour, CBS has officially elected to move forward with a new take on Antoine Fuqua’s iconic Training Day, shaking up the casting and confirming Fuqua himself to helm the pilot.

While Antoine Fuqua prepares to release The Magnificent Seven, the director is already lining up his next project. In addition to producing the upcoming Training Day series for CBS, Fuqua has signed on to helm Wolf Boys, a movie based on the real-life story of two American teens who get in over their head with a Mexican cartel.

CBS has flexed its interest in adapting major movies to the small screen this past year with the likes of Limitless and Rush Hour, and now looks to do the same for Antoine Fuqua’s Training Day port. The adapted series has officially landed on the eye network with a put-pilot, but what might change in translation?

The trend of major movies rebooting as TV series seems to have fallen behind the current crop of revivals, but we may yet have a late entry into the former, one King Kong has nothing on. A new report says Antoine Fuqua and Jerry Bruckheimer are developing a Training Day TV series eyed for one of the major networks, albeit with a casting twist.

James Horner tragically passed away last month, leaving behind an incredible legacy of scores for films like Titanic, Aliens and A Beautiful Mind. Although we previously believed the composer’s final score was for Antoine Fuqua’s Southpaw, the director has revealed that Horner left behind a wonderful gift, secretly writing and composing a score for Fuqua’s remake of The Magnificent Seven.

Each trailer for Southpaw has been better and more focused than the last, and the latest follows in the footsteps of its predecessor by using the second of two original tracks Eminem recorded for Antoine Fuqua’s film — this one is “Kings Never Die,” featuring Gwen Stefani. The trailers continue to lean a little too heavily on the family drama, while Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance in the boxing ring appears to be the main draw.

The Equalizer is sort of the ultimate action movie for dads — the big climactic scene takes place in a home improvement store, with Denzel Washington using tools in ways Tim Taylor never could have imagined in his darkest moments. And if you’re itching to see Washington kick more bad guy butt, you’ll get your chance to do so…in 2017.

The first trailer for Antoine Fuqua’s Southpaw seemingly laid out the entire plot of the film, but the second official trailer for the director’s latest drama is more compact, focusing more on the intensity of the piece. Although Fuqua’s films in recent years haven’t been exactly amazing, the promise of Jake Gyllenhaal in Southpaw is too good to ignore.

The Magnificent Seven has built itself an interesting cast, but they just lost one valuable member: Jason Momoa has departed Antoine Fuqua’s remake of the classic western, presumably due to his Aquaman commitments. On the flip side, the film may have lost Momoa, but it just added Peter Sarsgaard in the role of the big bad villain.

Antoine Fuqua’s remake of The Magnificent Seven just got a whole lot more badass. In addition to Fuqua favorite Denzel Washington and everyone-favorite Chris Pratt, the film has just added former Game of Thrones star and future Aquaman Jason Momoa, as well as G.I. Joe: Retaliation star Byung-hun Lee. This film sounds like it’s going to be pretty damn tough.
