Ash Williams usually isn’t one to arrive early, but fans of Ash Vs. Evil Dead are in for a treat. Not only does Season 2 have an official October premiere date, nearly a full month earlier than last year, but so too do we have fresh images and key art from the new season.

Lucky attendees of Comic-Con 2016 got to see the full blood-spattered Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 2 premiere for themselves, but what of us at home? The rich history of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead informed a great deal of Starz sequel series Ash Vs. Evil Dead, though producers had earlier noted that rights issues prevented any formal reference to Ash’s medieval third adventure, Army of Darkness. Now, said legal red-tape appears to have been cut for Season 2, which itself will specifically reference the third film.

Bruce Campbell may not have earned the Emmy recognition we hoped for, but Ash Vs. Evil Dead has no less reason to celebrate. A new full-length, blood-soaked trailer for Season 2 has arrived ahead of Comic-Con 2016, as Ash’s Jacksonville retirement comes to a gruesome end. Hail to the king once more, baby!

More and more TV shows each year make it impossible to keep up with everything, even as choice Sunday real estate goes to conversation-starters like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Well, get ready to not talk about the big Starz shows on Monday, now that the cable outlet will switch to Sunday premieres, from its usual Saturday.

TV viewers and Black Sails fans, you finally have something in common. Starz will join the ranks of TV channels offering their services to stream independent of any cable package, even tossing in the Outlander Season 2 premiere as an incentive.
