Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Amid the myriad of FOX’s pickups and surprising cancellations, the network has also taken its 2015 Upfront presentation to file out Mulder and Scully’s TV return. Not only will The X-Files formally return in January 2016, but so too has the network put the truth out there with its full future lineup.

FOX will give Batman further beginnings with another round of ‘Gotham’ in the fall, but Jim Gordon’s won’t be the only precinct hanging around for an additional season. In addition to the renewal, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ will officially remain open another year, along with FOX’s new hip-hop drama ‘Empire.’

Most of the major networks have already put forward their fall 2014 schedules, but fourth place is hardly bad press for FOX, given all their promising new series on deck. The full fall premiere list has arrived, plotting 'Gotham''s batty debut ahead of the much-hyped 'Family Guy'-'Simpsons' crossover, while 'Glee''s final farewell and more have been pushed to midseason.

The 2014 Emmy Nominations are in, and expectedly outraging everyone across the internet. Charlize Theron's big return to the 'SNL' stage this past weekend mostly missed the mark, save for a few bizarre-enough-to-be-funny sketches, but this Saturday's season finale already has a few Golden Globes in its pocket. 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star Andy Samberg will make a long-awaited return to his 'SNL' roots to close out the season, and the first promo already feels like home.

FOX fans, your time is at hand! While some renewals are more surprising than others, FOX has officially granted a second season to Andy Samberg's Golden Globe-winning 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' along with thirds for Kevin Bacon serial killer drama 'The Following' and Mindy Kaling's critically-adored 'The Mindy Project,' and a fourth season for Zooey Deschanel's ever-quirky 'New Girl.'

Now that's more like it! A short while after 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star Andy Samberg took home the 2014 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series, Comedy, the show has done even better to upset the competition in winning the Best TV Series, Comedy award!
