Ash Vs. Evil Dead had plenty of history to draw on for the Starz take on Bruce Campbell’s chainsaw-wielding champion, though rights issues prevented any reference to the medieval Army of Darkness. Then, producers claimed Season 2 was free and clear to pay homage to Ash’s past adventures, but according to groovy Bruce himself, those reports were exaggerated.

Ash Williams usually isn’t one to arrive early, but fans of Ash Vs. Evil Dead are in for a treat. Not only does Season 2 have an official October premiere date, nearly a full month earlier than last year, but so too do we have fresh images and key art from the new season.

The erstwhile Fargo and Evil Dead star took a playful jab at Batman v. Superman as well, and let’s face it, we’d all surrender more cash to add Ash Williams and a chainsaw into the mix.
