For four years, one of the hottest tickets at every Comic-Con was The Hunger Games panel, spotlighting the hugely popular film franchise about the adventures of Katniss Everdeen and the people of Panem. On Thursday, the cast and crew of The Hunger Games franchise — director Francis Lawrence, producer Nina Jacobson, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Willow Shields — took the stage at Hall H one last time to discuss this fall’s conclusion of the Hunger Games saga, Mockingjay — Part 2.

Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter are hitting Comic-Con 2015 this week, with O’Brien broadcasting his nightly talk show live from San Diego and moderating the panel for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. But first the duo have to get to San Diego, and they’re going there in style — Mad Max: Fury Road style.

Even though Marvel is abstaining from Comic-Con this year, we’ve still had plenty to be excited about — specifically, Lucasfilm is bringing Star Wars: The Force Awakens to the convention later this week. That’s the good news. Here’s the bad news: they will not be showing any new footage or a new trailer for the upcoming installment in the classic franchise. Sorry.

Faster than a speeding bullet, Comic-Con is upon once again. The biggest, nerdiest party in the world kicks off on Wednesday in San Diego and, yes, Team ScreenCrush will be on hand to cover it all. With Marvel, Sony, and Paramount, all sitting out this year’s big geek bash, the clear #1 panel to anticipate is Warner Bros. Saturday morning showcase of their upcoming slate. The presentation will include clips from the new live-action Pan starring Hugh Jackman, and the movie version of the ’60s spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. But the star attraction is unquestionably an appearance by Zack Snyder and the stars of next spring’s hotly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

San Diego Comic-Con is the center of the geek world, the place where movies and TV and comics and games and toys all converge into one giant melting pot. Sure, there are other comic conventions all over the nation, but there is only one true Comic-Con and it has been based in San Diego since its inception in 1970. However, as Comic-Con has grown, so too have the rumors that the con would depart San Diego for a city with a larger convention center. But it looks like everything is staying put for the time being. Comic-Con organizers and the City of San Diego have reached an agreement that will keep SDCC in the city through at least 2018.

As revealed yesterday, Batman vs. Superman will have a major presence at Comic-Con. The entire cast will be there to show off new footage from the film, and if rumors are to believed, we’ll also have the new Justice League assembled on stage. But, if you aren’t going to Comic-Con this year (or you simply can’t wait another week), we have some good news for you: Warner Bros. has released five new Batman vs. Superman photos for your viewing pleasure.

With Marvel sitting out Comic-Con 2015, everyone assumed that Warner Bros. would use this opportunity to make a big splash at Comic-Con with their Justice League universe. Today, as Warner Bros. officially announced their Comic-Con plans and confirmed those suspicions with news on their Batman vs. Superman panel, which superheroes will be attending and promises of “unexpected offerings”.

Marvel Studios may have opted out of Comic-Con 2015 for any number of reasons, though the dependable folks at Marvel TV will make sure our stay in San Diego isn’t without an Agents check-in. Not only will the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. be out in full force for a Season 3 panel, they’ll be joined by spiritual predecessor Agent Carter.

It’s always a toss-up who rules the realm of TV Comic-Con panels, between The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, though the shuffling zombies might outnumber White Walkers this year. Not only has AMC set panel plans for The Walking Dead Season 6, but so too will fans get a first look at Fear The Walking Dead with its own panel.
