Dead Rising 3

While this year seems to be all about the book-to-movie adaptations, more and more video games are being mined for their cinematic potential. Three months after learning that Legendary's Digital Media and Sony's online video platform/studio Crackle would be making a 'Dead Rising' movie, we now have the full cast and the first plot details.

Zombies are still cool, and video game-adapted movies are still all the rage. So, it was only a matter of time before the immensely popular zombie video game series Dead Rising was mined for cinematic gold, and it'll be the first film to emerge from Legendary's digital media branch.

Though originally slated to arrive in time for your holiday break, Capcom has unfortunately delayed Dead Rising 3's DLC.

Information about Dead Rising 3's first downloadable content add-on, Operation Broken Eagle, and an upcoming demo has been released by Capcom.

Just a little under two weeks until we're all chopping up zombies left and right in Dead Rising 3 on the Xbox One. Until then, this story trailer will just have to hold us over.

Capcom Vancouver's Josh Bridge sat down with IGN to play through the opening 25 minutes of Dead Rising 3, and you can see the Xbox One exclusive in all its glory right here.

Seems like a day can't go by without at least one publisher announcing a season pass for one of its games. At least in Dead Rising 3's case, we also got a cool new trailer to watch.
