Empire of the Dead

Increased interest in zombie properties is nothing new with The Walking Dead in its sixth season, as we saw in May with news that George Romero comic Empire of the Dead had entered TV development. Now, one of the artists claims that The Walking Dead’s own home AMC has won rights to the zombie-vampire hybrid thriller.

Few have managed to successfully capitalize on TV’s zombie outbreak after The Walking Dead, but if anyone could raise the dead, it’d be George Romero and Marvel. A new report suggests Romero is looking to develop a TV adaptation of graphic novel Empire of the Dead, which bites into a shocking twist on the undead apocalypse.
