Will Dumbledore ever be portrayed as gay in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movies? Jude Law suggests it will happen, eventually.

Move over, hot young Dumbledore. There’s a new cutie patootie in town: Young Newt Scamander. A new image from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has revealed our first look at Joshua Shea as the younger version of Eddie Redmayne’s Newt — as well as Jude Law’s Dumbledore, seen actually teaching a class at Hogwarts.

Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of Ilvermorny, the American school of magic.

Surprise surprise, the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ sequel won’t address Dumbledore’s openly gay sexuality.

The 5-film ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series will rocket our heroes around the globe as they search for beasts and beastly wizards.

Infinity War isn’t the only major sequel hitting theaters next year. No, not Ant-Man and the Wasp — think outside the MCU, people! Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is arriving next fall, reuniting Eddie Redmayne’s Newt with Katherine Waterston’s Tina, and Dan Fogler’s Jacob Kowalski with Alison Sudol’s Queenie, and — hopefully — us with that cute little Niffler. More importantly, it’s introducing Jude Law’s Hot Dumbledore to the Harry Potter universe. (And, ugh, fine, that Grindelwald dude will be there, too.)

During the pivotal scene in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Colin Farrell’s Percival Graves is revealed to be none other than the storied villain Grindelwald, played by Johnny Depp in a short cameo. The casting of Depp, who will have a more prominent role moving forward, has drawn ire from fans and journalists alike due to his alleged physical and verbal abuse of ex-wife and actress Amber Heard. While women everywhere are being empowered to break their silence after suffering years of misogynistic abuse, J.K. Rowling has broken hers to stand in support of an abuser.

‘Harry Potter’ fans have been pushing back against Johnny Depp’s involvement in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series, and now the director comes to his defense.

The sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ got an official title today and cast photo, featuring the first photo of Jude Law as Dumbledore.
