We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: however arduous each TV revival proves, fans will inevitably clamor for another continuation. Netflix’s Gilmore Girls in particular ended A Year in the Life on the cliffhanger creators always intended, but may now be in “preliminary” conversations for another followup, reports reveal.

Curb Your Enthusiasm hasn’t provided much Season 9 enthusiasm to curb as of yet, but a certain Gilmore Girl might just be the shot of energy we need. Lauren Graham will apparently recur in the upcoming ninth season, as well as lead her own new FOX series.

Unlike other revivals, Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life seemed expressly designed to return its prolific cast for one last stay in Stars Hollow. That is, until those oft-referenced four final words left further questions to answer, something Netflix now seems to be teasing over Twitter.

Less than a week will see the Gilmore Girls dropping a year’s worth of reunion in time for a post-Thanksgiving binge, as the four-part Day in the Life catches long-lost fans up on all of Stars Hollow. The new trailer brings back even more familiar faces from the oddball town, so kick off the final countdown to next Friday!

Once upon a time, Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival was rumored to title each new episode around a season of the year. The fan-favorite series end up walking a more generic path with A Year in the Life, but nonetheless puts its seasonal approach up front with four new posters for the November premiere.

Take a moment, and think of all the coffee you’ve consumed in the last decade. Now double it, triple that, and you might be somewhere in the neighborhood of Rory and Lorelai since Gilmore Girls first premiered 16 years ago. This past weekend saw Netflix breaking with its traditional release strategy, to debut Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down in the first of multiple installments. That owed to chaotic production, but where Gilmore Girls bosses hoped to release the four Year in the Life revival specials in equal installments, Netflix believes fans “would’ve killed us” to break with tradition.

The internet was beside itself with anticipation at news that Gilmore Girls would return for A Year in the Life, and it won’t be that long before it’s a part of your own life. The long-awaited Gilmore Girls revival has an official November premiere and first footage, something both Amy Schumer and John Oliver heartily approve of.
