The 'Terminator Genisys' trailer has arrived and if you had hopes that this would turn around your bleak view of this franchise reboot, you're going to want to sit down and take a deep breath before you watch this thing.

That's how we feel about the latest batch of images from 'Terminator: Genisys,' a film that couldn't have have built up more bad press in the past 24 hours unless it was actively out to sabotage itself. For a film that's set to come out next summer, we've heard precious little about 'Terminator: Genisys.' The latest attempt to resurrect a franchise that was, at one time, one of the coolest film series in the world, the fifth 'Terminator' film surrounds original star Arnold Schwarzenegger with a bunch of people you really like, puts a nerd-friendly guy in the director's chair and crosses its fingers an hopes for the best. Now, we have our first look at the new cast members and the vague outline of a plot, which sounds pretty crazy.

Despite that horrific subtitle for its reboot (yes, we're still not over that title), Paramount Pictures announced release dates for the next two 'Terminator' movies in the new trilogy to hit theaters in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The 'Terminator' reboot (now officially titled 'Terminator: Genesis') is moving forward quickly and is closing in on its two leads. Jason Clarke ('Zero Dark Thirty') is in talks to star as John Connor while 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke looks to have won the hotly-contested role of Sarah Connor.

'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' the sequel to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' tagged along for 20th Century Fox's Comic-Con 2013 panel on Saturday, Jul. 20 at Hall H, along with 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and 'The Wolverine.'
