College is a time of exploration, adventure and self-discovery. For some people, that means "doing drugs." Even your new best friend Jenny Slate, star of this summer's charming and daring 'Obvious Child,' turned to marijuana during her college years, and the results were pretty mixed, as she shared with Seth Meyers on last night's 'Late Night.'

If there's a way to emote both overwhelming exhaustion and unadulterated joy on one's face, somehow, Gillian Robespierre has pulled off that unique distinction. Shortly after meeting the first time director of the critically acclaimed 'Obvious Child,' she shows me a thick packet, which is just today's schedule...

Why ‘Obvious Child’ is More Than Just an “Abortion Comedy”
This week a very different kind of romantic comedy hits theaters -- combining the sort of incredibly human relatability we've come to expect from independent films with the classic tropes of the rom-com genre, 'Obvious Child' comes from the mind of writer/director Gillian Robespierre and tells the late coming of age story of Donna, a stand-up comedian played by real-life comedian Jenny Slate... When I met with Jenny Slate, she's sitting alone in a giant conference room in the basement of a Soho hotel, a room that is pretty much devoid of anything except for two chairs. Slate certainly isn't "on message" during this interview and speaks from the heart, which makes what's she's saying extremely appealing. And her face is constantly full of emotions; even though, as I find out, she's battling a cold.

'Obvious Child' Review
From 'Knocked Up' to 'Juno,' we've seen how women cope with unplanned parenthood, though they always seem to end with the birth of a child. 'Obvious Child,' however, from writer-director Gillian Robespierre, gives us another and totally relatable option: what if our fumbling heroine decided to get an abortion? And what if that was just totally OK?

'Parks and Recreation' has been on a hot streak of casting this season (which we pray isn't a sign of it being the last), yesterday casting Jason Schwartzman as a troubled Pawnee resident, and previous episodes featuring the likes of numerous real-life politicians, Lucy Lawless and Christie Brinkley, so who's next? Fresh off her 'Girls' and 'Raising Hope' appearances, former 'SNL' star Jenny Slate

The first season of HBO's buzzy Lena Dunham/Judd Apatow comedy 'Girls' succeeded for a number of reasons, between those enamored of the honest and heartfelt writing, and plenty of detractors who still wanted to see what happened next. And while the second season won't hit the network until Sunday, January 13, the first season home release arrives next week. And what better what to show people what

‘Looney Tunes’ Being Rebooted Yet Again
Warner Brothers has already tried twice to reset their most famous cartoon character in full-length adventures. The first time was in 1996 with the Michael Jordan-starring 'Space Jam.' It was a pretty terrible movie, but reasonably successful. Then in 2003 they tried again with 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action,' which is the better movie but bombed. Hopefully, the third time is the charm.
