A Richard Pryor biopic has been in development for at least a decade now, with a couple of different actors and stars attached at various points. Pryor himself was involved in developing the film before his passing, but with director Lee Daniels attached the biopic is finally beginning to take shape and move forward, with Mike Epps officially locked down to star as the iconic comedian.

What is the worst franchise in Hollywood? Transformers? Alvin and the Chipmunks? Underworld? They’re all pretty crummy, but they pale before the abject awfulness of the unnamed franchise Garry Marshall’s been working on for the last couple years, where he takes a holiday everyone loves, cast a bunch of movie stars everyone loves, and puts them in a terrible, terrible movie that everyone hates (but which make a ton of money). First came Valentine’s Day featuring Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, and Jamie Foxx, and it was bad. Then there was New Year’s Day, with Halle Berry, Katherine Heigl, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and Robert freaking De Niro and it was, somehow, much, much worse. Now Marshall’s reign of calendarian terror will continue with Mother’s Day.

If you’ve gotta go to Afghanistan, traveling with Bill Murray doesn’t seem like a bad way to go…maybe. The first trailer for Rock the Kasbah is here, in which Murray plays an aging rock manager taking his last remaining client (Zooey Deschanel) on a USO tour of Afghanistan. Naturally, things go awry and wacky shenanigans occur and Bill Murray sings “Smoke on the Water,” further cementing his status as a dad icon.

Where has director Mira Nair been? The last time we saw the acclaimed filmmaker behind 'Monsoon Wedding,' she was slumming it with the instantly forgettable Oscar bait 'Amelia' back in 2009. With that out of her system, her next film, 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist,' will hopefully be a return to form, and the new trailer certainly has our hopes up!

We've been excited about Larry David's new movie when we first got wind of it, and when Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton joined the cast, we were elated. Now the movie is filled with great actors, and we can't wait.
