“He who controls the spice controls the Universe!” is what the folks at Legendary must be cackling to themselves right about now as they seal the deal on acquiring the rights to Frank Herbert’s science fiction masterpiece Dune. Legendary reached an agreement with the Frank Herbert estate that includes both film and television rights to the book, and they are currently planning possible motion picture and television projects.

Netflix and danger, Will Robinson! It's been some time since we've heard from the proposed Lost in Space TV reboot, but with Netflix having missed its chance for a new Star Trek, the family Robinson will have to do. The streaming site has apparently won rights to the iconic franchise reboot, as written by the Dracula Untold team.

Time and again we've seen the classic 'Lost in Space' given the reboot treatment, from the 1998 big-screen version to a John Woo-directed TV take in the early 2000s, so what's one more? The Robinsons will pack up and head for the stars once more, as Legendary TV has begun development of a new 'Lost in Space' series with the writers behind 'Dracula Untold.'

'300: Rise of an Empire' was among the many offerings from Legendary Pictures' Comic-Con 2013 panel presentations on Saturday, Jul. 20 in Hall H. Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel 'Xerxes,' the prequel to '300' was originally slated to hit theaters this August but was later moved to March 7, 2014, naturally increasing its level of mystery.

Legendary Pictures brought an impressive amount of titles from their upcoming slate to Comic-Con 2013. In addition to the much-hyped 'Godzilla' reboot and the George Clooney- and 'Gravity,' 'Seventh Son' and 'The LEGO Movie' got their time to shine in the buzzing Hall H on Saturday, Jul. 20.

Fantasy is coming back and in a big way, thanks mainly to 'Game of Thrones.' Legendary Pictures is aware and has acquired the new spec script titled 'Slayer.' It's an attempt to reboot the dragon genre, but with a little twist...
