Lilyhammer

Not all of Netflix’s original series have become cultural breakouts (we’re looking at you, Hemlock Grove and Marco Polo), but the streaming service’s original … well, original may have finally been whacked. After three seasons, Netflix has confirmed that Sopranos alum Steve Van Zandt’s Lilyhammer has officially frozen over, and won’t return for a fourth season.

It's been a good long while since we've heard anything from the front of 'Lilyhammer,' what with discussions of Netflix's more breakout original entries like 'House of Cards' and 'Orange Is the New Black.' At long last, however, it seems the Steve Van Zandt ('The Sopranos')-starring 'Lilyhammer' season 2 has a December premiere date and a brand-new trailer to back it up.

Amidst the flurry of 'Arrested Development' news that came out of Netflix's Las Vegas event the other day, there were a few bits of news that got buried like a small town in a Norway snow.  And with Netflix's continued expansion into original content, 'Arrested Development's return isn't the only renewal that bodes well for the network.
