You won’t be triggering Global Thermonuclear War anytime soon, but there are new WarGames to play. The 1983 Matthew Broderick classic gets re-imagined as a new interactive series from MGM and Her Story creator Sam Barlow, and the first trailer is ready to play a game.

Say what you will about Kevin Smith tackling a TV adaptation of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension; there’s no denying his passion for the material. So much so, in fact, that Smith has now distanced himself from the project over MGM’s lawsuit with the original writer and director.

Director Kimberly Peirce is so thrilled to be remaking 'Carrie,' and so excited that she's landed Chloe Grace Moretz for the title role, that she's gone ahead and made her own poster for the movie before shooting a foot of film.

'Carrie,' based on the novel by Stephen King, was adapted by Brian DePalma in 1976 and remade for TV in 2002, starring Angela Bettis. It was also a Broadway musical. Twice. And it's going to be a horror movie again. Now it looks like MGM has found their lead for that 'Carrie' remake.

'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' may have been a hit with the critics but it failed to make any real noise at the box office last holiday season. The American movie adaptation of the best-selling novel, starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, was considered a loss despite taking in $231 million in box office receipts worldwide.
