King of the Hill creator Mike Judge may have briefly returned to his animated roots with a Beavis and Butthead revival in 2011, but Cinemax may grant him a longer stay. The Silicon Valley creator has been given a series order for Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus, an animated country music series.

We’ll never get to see that series of 2016 election ads starring Terry Crews, but there’s still good news for fans of President Camacho and Mike Judge’s Idiocracy: The 2006 cult classic comedy is celebrating its 10th anniversary by returning to theaters this October, just one month ahead of the presidential election — you know, just in case you need a little boost of humor (or a scarily prescient reminder) before you head into the voting booth.

Not long ago we learned that Idiocracy director Mike Judge and screenwriter Etan Cohen were planning on making a series of anti-Trump ads for the coming election, which would feature Terry Crews reprising his role as President Camacho. Not long after that, it was revealed that the ads wouldn’t be happening after all, and in a new interview, Judge himself explains why the idea ultimately fell apart.

Idiocracy wasn’t just a hilarious satirical comedy, it felt eerily prescient. In the years since Mike Judge’s film hit theaters, “Idiocracy is real life” has become a running joke, particularly now that Donald Trump is running for President, with many noting the resemblance between the presumptive Republican nominee and the fictional President played by Terry Crews. It’s a fairly easy (and pretty funny) comparison to make, and in case you were wondering, the filmmakers themselves see it, too.

More often than not, HBO’s Silicon Valley makes headlines for one major set piece gag per year, belying some of the improvisational talent that goes into making one of TV’s best comedies. Case in point, watch T.J. Miller insult Stephen Toblowsky for over four and a half minutes, an outtake of old person jokes to rival any gag on the series to date.

Already a comedic gem, HBO’s Silicon Valley seems to find at least one yearly scene worthy of headline, whether the elaborate hand job proof of Season 1, or a monkey making creative use of a prosthetic arm last year, and Season 3 is no different. Yes, the graphic depiction of horse sex has breached Silicon Valley, and shock of shocks, PETA is none-too-thrilled about it.

Ahead of what will likely prove one of its biggest recorded weekends, HBO already issued a 2017 renewal to Game of Thrones, and now its comedy companions follow suit. Not only will our beloved Veep stay in office for a sixth season, so too will Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley bumble through the tech revolution for a fourth year.

Going into its fourth and most anticipated premiere yet, HBO’s Veep suffered a setback last week with the announcement that creator Armando Iannucci would leave the series behind in advance of Season 5, despite informally confirming that the Emmy-winning Julia Louis-Dreyfus political comedy would return for 2016. Now, Silicon Valley joins Veep with an official vote of confidence from HBO through Seasons 5 and 3, respectively.
