But then the “In Memoriam” segment comes around and reduces even the most cynical person to puddle of bubbling tears. The 2015 Oscars “In Memoriam” is no different, offering a whirlwind tour through a year’s worth of beloved people who passed away. Get ready ... it’s about to get a little dusty in here.

Many celebrities would likely balk at turning their late night chat show appearance into a remembrance of a recently passed star -- too emotional, too sad, too something -- but Edward Norton not only took the time during his segment on last night's 'Late Show' to talk about director Mike Nichols with host David Letterman, he did it was style, grace, and some really lovely personal stories.

The Los Angeles premiere was such an eclectic snapshot of 1988 that we decided to just share some of the photos. “Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me...” That is one of the most famous lines from one of the most famous scenes in all of cinema: Dustin Hoffman’s Benjamin trying not to be seduced by Anne Bancroft’s Mrs. Robinson, his father’s partner’s wife in 1967’s ‘The Graduate.’ The film was just the second directed by Mike Nichols, the enterprising comedian turned theater and cinema director, who died Wednesday at the age of 83.
