Cars 3 is a thing I keep forgetting is happening. It isn’t exactly a Pixar sequel people are dying to see – does anyone who’s not an eight-year-old actually love the Cars movies? Either way, the new film is still on the way and today Disney has announced three new voice actors joining the cast with new character photos.

ABC’s Castle got a more abrupt ending than cast and crew were necessarily expecting, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine may give Nathan Fillion a little closure. The former Firefly star will guest star on the cop comedy’s fourth season in a role that should sound familiar to Richard Castle readers.

Let’s face it: no one knew quite what to do with the notion of Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant in a dark family comedy for Netflix, at least until they threw in the blood. Yes, the Santa Clarita Diet has far more going on beneath the surface, and that bloody truth comes to light in a first full trailer for the February premiere.

The series finale of ABC’s Castle still feels dizzyingly abrupt, given the frantic race for a ninth season amid multiple firings, and a tacked-on conclusion to the Season 8 cliffhanger finale. Longtime fans perhaps hoped the final season DVD might present the cliffhanger ending as originally designed, but producers have curiously declined to include it.

ABC has already lost one fan-favorite today, but the latest affords an even bigger shock. Following a dramatic exit for co-lead Stana Katic, and weeks of deal-making to keep the remaining cast for Season 9, ABC has officially opted to cancel Castle for good after the eighth season finale.

A few weeks back, Castle fans were agape at the thought of a ninth season without series star Stana Katic, as well the circus and rumors and cast reactions that flew since. Nathan Fillion hadn’t signed for Season 9 at the time, but has now reportedly been secured, while ABC is set to make a decision on the series before the weekend.

Like all network procedurals, it takes a few extra stretches to keep stars and quality consistent through the later seasons, something ABC’s Castle has been on the edge of for years. Now, Stana Katic has apparently been thrown off that edge, as a prospective Season 9 will move forward without Beckett, or Katic’s approval.

The wait for an official premiere date on The Venture Bros. Season 6 has been almost as grueling as the wait between seasons itself, but it looks as if Rusty and co. at last have their return. Following initial reports of February, Adult Swim has officially set The Venture Bros. Season 6 for a late January bow.

Back in September, the notoriously spaced-out Venture Bros. finally gave us a look at its upcoming sixth season, setting an even further premiere for February 2016.
