As we reported back in September, Universal has been planning a new 'Bourne' film with Paul Greengrass returning to the director's chair and Matt Damon returning to the role of Jason Bourne. The thing is, we hadn't heard anything official from Damon himself ... until now. The actor finally broke his silence in a recent interview to confirm his return to the 'Bourne' franchise.

Well that didn't last long, did it? With the conclusion of the original 'Bourne' trilogy, director Paul Greengrass said there wasn't really anywhere else for Jason Bourne to go in the franchise, hence the Jeremy Renner spinoff 'The Bourne Legacy.' 'The Stand' is one of Stephen King's best novels and it has the potential to be a truly incredible film. 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' was one hot project in 2008, with Aaron Sorkin writing, Steven Spielberg directing, and Will Smith and Sacha Baron Cohen rumored to star as Bobby Seale and Abbie Hoffman, respectively. The project has been dormant for a while, but 'The Bourne Ultimatum' director Paul Greengrass might be the person to bring it back to life.

It's been a few years since we last saw a film from Paul Greengrass, but the new 'Captain Phillips' trailer shows that the director of 'The Bourne Ultimatum' hasn't lost his style at all. In fact, the movie looks terrific. That's what you get when you put Greengrass at the helm of a terrifying/exciting true story and cast Tom Hanks in the lead role.

Paul Greengrass is Heading to ‘Memphis’
Although he's best known for directing 'The Bourne Supremacy' and 'The Bourne Ultimatum,' Paul Greengrass' best films are undoubtedly 'Bloody Sunday' and 'United 93,' both of which take touchy and potentially controversial subject matter and craft humane, heartbreaking stories out of them. His talent for finding humanity in history makes his long-gestating 'Memphis' an exciting prospect -- it's ha
