Game of Thrones is debuting later in the year than ever, but that doesn’t dampen our excitement for the first official Season 7 trailer one bit. Watch the world of Westeros get a little colder, even as the Great War heats up in the penultimate season’s first official trailer.
Mildred Hayes has had it. It’s been weeks since her daughter was brutally raped and murdered, and the local police force in Ebbing, Missouri don’t have a single perp to show for all their efforts. Feeling disrespected and unheard, Mildred does the only thing an ordinary citizen at the end of their rope can do: she clarifies which cursewords you can put on a billboard and puts a message right where area sheriff Willoughby will see it. Them’s fightin’ words on her billboards, reading “RAPED WHILE DYING. STILL NO ARRESTS. HOW COME, CHIEF WILLOUGHBY?” And in the newly released red-band trailer begins a long, farcical, spiteful conflict between one-woman army MIldred and the local cops.
As is typically the case when a new actor joins the MCU, there’s been plenty of speculation about who Peter Dinklage might be playing in Avengers: Infinity War. But recent photos of the actor’s new hairdo, of all things, may help narrow those numerous possibilities down to just a couple — unless, of course, Joe and Anthony Russo have come up with something a little less expected.
In a possible effort to combine the two biggest franchise audiences out there, none other than Peter Dinklage might be joining the cast of Avengers: Infinity War.
Game of Thrones Season 7 has already tightened story circles as much (if not more) than last year, and we often forget how close certain characters have come to interacting. So it is that new set photos reveal another hotly-anticipated pairing, one likely to be a bit tense by the long-ago battle of “Blackwater.”
Game of Thrones may have left Cersei in a position of power greater than any she’d achieved thus far, even if the new Queen’s reign was likely to be a short one, with Daenerys’ dragon-backed fleet racing for Kings’ Landing. Fans have long-theorized who might be the one to ultimately end Cersei’s life, but who does Lena Headey feel deserves the honor?
Days ahead of the Season 6 finale, Game of Thrones fans don’t yet know how many more episodes lie ahead in Seasons 7 or 8, but that isn’t stopping the cast from cashing in. A new report suggests the bigger Game of Thrones stars are in for a major payday in the final seasons, simultaneously laying to rest theories of which character dies in “The Winds of Winter.”
SNL has had only a moderate April, between hosts Peter Dinklage, Russell Crowe and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but fans can easily agree on at least one gem: “Space Pants.” Were there further need to settle the debate, SNL has obliged with full-length rendition of the interstellar track, Gwen Stefani and all.
