It’s been the better part of a year since learning that Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston would produce and star in a new sci-fi anthology series based on the writings of Philip K. Dick, brought to life by Battlestar Galactica alum Ron Moore. Now, Amazon confirms a pickup for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, based on the author’s short stories.

Do androids dream of Bryan Cranston? This is a very real question we’ll get to answer in the near future, as the former Breaking Bad star and all-around TV treasure Cranston has signed on to lead a new sci-fi anthology series based on the writings of Philip K. Dick, and brought to life by none other than Battlestar Galactica alum Ron Moore.

Movies adapted off of literary works have been done practically everyday in Hollywood for many years. Sometimes the adaptations turn out to be worse that the written word, which never makes the author very happy. But ever once in awhile a movie will be made off their novel or short story that's so spectacular that they can't stop praising the film.
