What's wrong with a little good clean fun? While a cappella versions of the biggest pop hits of the '80s, '90s and today are not exactly my jam, a crowd-pleasing comedy with a few unexpected subversive moments can be. It would take a misanthrope of the highest order to dislike 'Pitch Perfect,' preposterous and predictable though it may be.

After a few painful weeks, it looks like the box office has finally found its legs again. The combined power of 'Hotel Transylvania' and 'Looper' announced the end of the post-Summer doldrums and the start of the true Fall movie season. Sony, who distributed both films, must be the happiest studio in town right now.

We're not saying she should quit her day job anytime soon, but watching Anna Kendrick rap in this new clip from 'Pitch Perfect' is just about the coolest -- and cutest -- thing we've seen today. And yes, we've seen some cat videos.

'Pitch Perfect' is the quintessential movie for 'Glee'-ks -- it follows a college-level a cappella girl group trying to revamp their image by singing popular songs (i.e. everything that 'Glee' is about). If that or the fact that 'Twilight' actress Anna Kendrick stars in this movie along with 'Bridesmaids' funny girl Rebel Wilson, then maybe getting the chance to sing along with the cast will do th

Anna Kendrick is an academy award nominee (for 'Up in the Air'), though not a household name. But if 'Pitch Perfect' is a hit, she will be. Kendrick leads a group of a cappella singers in what looks to be a mash-up of 'Glee' and 'Bring it On.' Still, it could be reasonably entertaining.
