Over the last six years, NECA's been busy releasing as many Predator action figures as humanly possible, and is coming up on its 18th wave based on the franchise. There have been several different versions of the Jungle Hunter Predator in those assortments, but to commemorate the pearl anniversary, the company has released a special "ultimate" edition of the OG Predator. Complete with multiple portraits, hands, and accessories, NECA's latest Jungle Hunter is the kind of figure fans of the series have deserved since 1987.

Shane Black’s Predator sequel was first announced a couple of years ago, though with Black completing The Nice Guys and working on a western pilot for Amazon, Fox had yet to make any promises about a release date — much less when Black and collaborator Fred Dekker would begin filming. But with the studio setting several new release dates over the weekend, it seems that the duo are finally gearing up to head into production on The Predator.

Achievement unlocked for Fred Dekker, as the screenwriter has revealed he’s officially turned in the finished screenplay for director Shane Black’s upcoming Predator sequel. Plot specifics are still unknown, but Black and Dekker (yes, we know) should be getting to work on the next installment in the franchise relatively soon, having recently completed work on Edge, their western miniseries pilot for Amazon.

Last year we heard that Shane Black had signed on to write and direct a new Predator sequel, but things have been pretty quiet since that news broke. Black is currently working on a western series for Amazon with Fred Dekker, his co-writer on the Predator project and the man behind horror classic The Monster Squad. If you were curious about the status of the Predator sequel, the producer of the upcoming film assures fans that it’s still happening, and you should get excited for it.
