Welcome to the latest Hollywood trend: the gender-swap remake. Following news of a gender-swapped remake of ‘Splash’ starring Channing Tatum as the one with the fish tail, Variety reports the next big remake on the docket is 1988's ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.’ Rebel Wilson will star in the MGM remake, which swaps the original two con men for two con women.

In comedy, a couple good jokes cover a multitude of sins. The Brothers Grimsby has both.

As a 35-year-old married father of one with a dog and an apartment in the parkest slopiest part of Park Slope, I recognize that I am not the target audience for How to Be Single. I haven’t been single since March of 2000 when I started dating my wife. I spent my “wild” 20s in New York City hanging out in video stores and karaoke bars. Hell, at our age, I may not even be married to the target audience for How to Be Single at this point. (Don’t tell my wife I said that. Seriously. Please don’t.) But you know what? I liked this movie anyway, enough to acknowledge that someone who is in its target demo will probably enjoy it too.

With the unforgiving cold of the winter months nearly upon us, we may be feeling the impulse to settle down and get cozy with someone who makes us feel warm on the inside. Here to cut through the nesting instinct in our rapidly shortening days is the trailer for How to Be Single, a raunchy new rom-com vehicle for besties Dakota Johnson and Rebel Wilson.

It’s not unusual for an animated film to replace members of its voice cast before release — Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur notably did this when it underwent a creative revamp, replacing pretty much all of its actors to make sure the casting was more accurate to the newer vision. Kung Fu Panda 3 hasn’t undergone any huge changes, though it is replacing at least one of its cast members prior to release.

Before Pitch Perfect 2 even hit theaters, Universal already began cooking up plans for Pitch Perfect 3, with Rebel Wilson reportedly returning to reprise the role of the beloved Fat Amy. The studio has now made those plans official, and not only is Wilson returning, but so is Anna Kendrick. Aca-obviously.

The first Kung Fu Panda film established that Jack Black’s Po had been adopted and his entire family was no longer living. But the first images from Kung Fu Panda 3 reveal quite the contrary — not only is Po’s family alive and well, but there’s a whole bunch of them, including some cute baby pandas.

Pitch Perfect 2 is expanding the quirky realm of a capella competition, as the Bellas prepare to face off against rivals from around the world. We get to meet some of these new competitors (zee Germans) in the new clip above, and yeah, they’re pretty fierce (and funny). Universal has released an additional clip as well, but that one’s a bit more somber, and features a totally bummer version of “Cups.”

Aca-what? Pitch Perfect was an unexpected delight, and enough of a hit to warrant the upcoming sequel. That film will arrive in theaters in May along with a couple of other major releases to help ring in the summer movie season. But before we even get to that, Universal already has plans for a third Pitch Perfect, and you can bet your butts that Rebel Wilson is returning for it.

Well this cast definitely sounds awesome. The upcoming rom-com ‘How to Be Single,’ which already stars the great Alison Brie, has just added a whole bunch of talented actors. Leslie Mann, Dan Stevens, Rebel Wilson, and Dakota Johnson have joined the film, which is based on the novel by Liz Tuccillo, the co-author of ‘He’s Just Not That Into You.’ Honestly, who even cares what this movie is or who it’s about, as long as we get to see something starring all these fantastic faces, right? Maybe.
