You tell us – was there some subtle shade between Reese Witherspoon and her ‘Big Little Lies’ co-stars at the Emmys?

Despite helming the disappointing Amazing Spider-Man movies, Marc Webb certainly hasn’t been hurting for work in the short time since. Webb has not one, but two films in theaters this year (Gifted, and the more recent The Only Living Boy in New York), and he’s already eyeing his next project — one that, given the amount of attractive talent (i.e. awards bait) involved, could very well deliver on the promise of Webb’s earlier, pre-Spider-Man career.

She gets separated (exchanging Lucas for Michael Sheen), returns home (subbing in Los Angeles for Alabama) and decides to let loose and invite three random dudes to move into her home. That’s Home Again, in a nutshell, which I am convinced is a secret Sweet Home Alabama sequel.

The Leftovers certainly made do with an HBO series that outgrew its original novel, so might Big Little Lies do the same? The star-studded miniseries has many fans hoping for a followup, and original author Liane Moriarty says she’s actively developing a potential continuation with the network.

Sing is the latest in 2016’s lineup of animated talking animal movies, and if these new photos are any indication, this musical might be far more charming than the trailers indicate (using pop songs that already feel dated isn’t helping).
