It’s not all Doom and gloom for Marvel’s Hulu Runaways, but it’s getting there. The upcoming series has added a second star from the Fantastic Four movies to the MCU, as Julian McMahon joins Runaways in a mysterious role.

We’re far enough into Marvel’s movie and TV universes that crossover potential seems remote, though the latter’s move from ABC to Netflix and Hulu raises questions. Marvel’s Runaways are now confirmed to inhabit the same universe, but likely won’t meet either Avengers or Defenders.

We’ve yet to see much live-action Marvel TV outside of ABC and Netflix, so will Hulu break the dam? We’ll find out when the Runaways are finally found on Hulu, now that they’ve set a Pride-ful November premiere.

Just as one crew of offbeat Marvel heroes is coming together, another is only getting started. Hulu has officially placed a 2018 series order for its new Runaways, based on the fan-favorite comics.

Well, they had to be running away from something, right? Hot on the heels of casting its leads, Marvel’s Hulu Runaways prepares to embarrass them all with a cast full of “Pride”-ful parents, including Buffy breakout James Marsters, 24 and Alias alum, and a whole host of others.

Just as Marvel’s Freeform Cloak and Dagger is starting to unfurl, so too are Marvel’s Hulu Runaways ready to hit the pavement. The full cast for the new series has been announced, along with their familiar comic designations.

We don’t yet know if Marvel’s Hulu Runaways series will follow suit with a place in the larger MCU, but there might be at least one familiar voice behind the long-awaited adaptation. Following the initial announcement, one of Marvel’s Netflix Iron Fist writers has confirmed their involvement with Runaways.
