If Seth MacFarlane’s live-action presence in movies like A Million Ways Ways to Die in the West didn’t thrust the Family Guy creator into the spotlight, how about his own live-action FOX series? We’ll find out, as MacFarlane boldly goes with a new series order for a sci-fi dramedy set among the stars.

The first trailer for Sing has arrived, and it’s filled with stuff you’ll recognize (and probably like): Cute animated animals, the smooth voice of Matthew McConaughey, hit pop songs, music competitions and…that laughably terrible “Butterfly” song that people sometimes put on at parties as an endurance test for their friends (note: these are not good people).

The benchmark for most of TV’s most iconic and enduring animated series seems to be the eventual transition to movies, as we’ve seen with The Simpsons and South Park, but at long last, could Family Guy be far behind? Creator Seth MacFarlane hints it might happen sooner than we realize.

American Dad fans found themselves somewhat concerned by the FOX Family Guy offshoot’s move to TBS last year, but the Smiths can officially take it easy. Not only does American Dad already have 22 new episodes to look forward to in 2016, but TBS has thrown an additional 44 at the wall, keeping the family in business through 2018.

It’s one thing to put Patrick Stewart in a Starz series dubbed Blunt Talk, promoting the dignified X-Men and Star Trek star in all manner of unseemly behavior, but it’s quite another to actually see it in action. Stewart picks up hookers, snorts coke, cuckolds, quotes Oliver Twist, draws dong, and … well, does pretty much everything by the latest trailer.

FOX’s Family Guy stands as only one corner of Seth MacFarlane’s animation empire, but it wasn’t terribly long ago the series became of one of the first shows revived by DVD sales. It’s funny that the poster for Ted 2 features the title character with his back to the camera and his hands suggestively poised near his crotch above the tagline “Ted is coming, again” because the whole movie revolves around the fact that Ted can’t come, not even once. Ted doesn’t have any genitals or a reproductive system, so he can’t have a baby with his wife. His search for a sperm donor eventually spills into the legal system, where a court case will decide a surprisingly complex question: Is Ted a person?

Here is the new red band trailer for Ted 2, which gets in on some of that Star Wars action by spoofing Darth Vader's breathing and swapping it out for bong hits. Did you like the first Ted movie? If so, good news, guys because the sequel looks like more of the same. More juvenile humor, stoner jokes and lots and lots of profanity. Enjoy!

Summer winds blow west to Comic-Con 2015, and while 20th Century Fox aren’t the first TV holdings to confirm their presence, they’re certainly the biggest yet. American Horror Story, The Simpsons, The Last Man on Earth and many more have all thrown in their hats for the San Diego madness of Comic-Con 2015.

The first Ted made something in the neighborhood of a bajillion dollars, so a Ted 2 was inevitable and they don’t seem to be messing with the formula all that much. The new red band trailer (which is NSFW in all kinds of ways) showcases everything that worked in the first one ... as well as everything that didn’t work. In short, you and you alone know if Ted 2 is going to work for you.
